Klaipėda is third biggest city in Lithuania, with a population of around 190,000 people.

The town of Klaipėda Memel was founded in 1252. Klaipėda is a unique Lithuanian city by virtue of its colorful and turbulent history and also because the Old Town‘s architectural style is similar to many western European cities with which it had close links.

Getting to Klaipeda

• The closes airport – Palanga International Airport is located on the northern boundary of Klaipeda , within a 30 min. drive. The airport and Klaipeda are connected by the internationally significant road that extends from Liepaja (Latvia) to Klaipeda.

• International Ferry Port in Klaipeda connects Klaipeda with the ports of Kiel, Sassnitz in Germany and Karlshamn in Sweden.

• Klaipeda Bus Station provides passenger transport on regular routes within the city area, local area and between the cities. There is a possibility to take a bus from Klaipeda to Germany, France, Great Britain, Netherlands, Latvia, Estonia, Kaliningrad region or Poland.
